In response to Re: cracked toilet flush tank
: I have an American Standard toilet #1474043 (Venetian Pink). The tank has developed a hairline crack with a small drip. I would like to maintain the color scheme of the fully tiled walls and sink(Venetian Pink). This toilet was manufactured from 1962 to 1973. I have tempoarily sealed the crack using epoxy but would like to buy a replacement tank. American Standard does not stock them any longer. Please give me any advice or leads that might help me solve this problem. My E-mail address is wklein3730@aol.com Thank you. Walter

Walter,
Man, you're living on borrowed time. I hope you turn the water off to the tank when you leave in the morning. If the tank splits open, and they have, the devastation of a free flowing toilet supply can be quite painful for your insurance company.

The other option, would be to put in a call to some plumbers in the area to see if anyone keeps A/S pink toilets that they pull out. You could also check with A-Ball Plumbing Supply
