I'm in a bind and I'm hoping that someone can help me with some advice.
I live in a rented home that utilizes an oil hot water heater. I'm not sure when it was installed, or even the make or model. Recently, the trip switch on the motor which pumps something (I'm not sure what...air, oil, water???) into the heater keeps popping out, and I find myself reseting it at least once a day, most likely more. I notified my landlords because I'm worried that by constantly resenting the motor, I'm circumventing a problem that should be looked at immediately. My landlords insist that I wait until this weekend, when they can come down (they live out of town) to assess the problem, but I think this is too long to wait. Does anyone know what's going on with the motor and could maybe have some insight into what may be happening? If you do and can help me, please email me directly.
