: I am having the same problem. Is there a trap on the disposal that may be clogged? HELP!!!!!
: : I have a double sink in the kitchen with a disposal on one side and a regular sink on the other. While throwing out leftovers, the sink clogged and the diposal side is backing up into the non-disposal side. The disposal itself is working. How do I unclog the sink? HELP!!!!
It sounds like the trap and or trap arm may be clogged. Depending how old your plumbing is it may clear out by plunging. If not you may need to hire a licenced plumber to snake the line out. Always use plenty of water to wash garbage down the drain as you are useing the disposal. Use bio clean to keep the drains open.If you are on a septic system you should use the garbage to make a compost pile. Dale Peck LMP
