|In response to Re: closet flange - installing -|
: I am setting my toilet. My neighbor told me that my flange was on backwards. He says that for wood floors with crawl spaces, the bolts should go into the slots that do not slide. My flange is mounted where I must inser the bolt and slide it into the smaller grove to hold.
: Does it make a difference how the bolts are attached to the flange?
With all due respect to your fine neighbor He is wrong!!! You are correct. Use the small holes to screw the floor flange to the wood floor. Use brass bolts to fasten the commode to the flange. Dale Peck LMP
