|In response to Re: Permanently installing a portable dishwasher|
: We've just built a new house and we want to install a portable dishwasher from our old house. A local plumber said sometimes that isn't smart because the plumbing in the portable dishwashers can't handle the constant water pressure. Is he correct? Also do you have to install the special valve when you hook it up to the garbage disposal?
An appliance parts house will carry a conversion kit. the kit, contains all of the parts to convert a portable dishwasher to one meant to be installed undercounter. You will still need the standard water supply connections and a place to connect the waste pipe, just as a normal installation would require.
