Hi. I am installing a basement bathroom and can connect the
toilet shower and sink to a straight run of waste pipe with the
toilet being closest to the horizontal main waste pipe leaving the house.
But all of the do-it-yourself books show the sink and shower water coming
into the waste pipe downstream of the toilet or in a parallel
line which connects to the main waste pipe, not upstream like I would like
to do to save on extra piping. Any reasons for any particular order or is
there a problem with putting them all on one waste line? Thanks.
