Removed tiles from wall. Old adhesive left on wall. Adhesive applied in 1959. The wall is in good shape. If I can somehow smooth or sand the old surface then I could apply new adhesive and tiles.
Tried an electric sander with a coarse grade paper, but the sandpaper gets all gummed up.
