Today a customer in the hardware store where I work asked for copper tubing for a heating system. We sell type M copper tubing--1/2" and 3/4". I know that type M has a thin wall and isn't the best for plumbing. I told him it could be used for hot and cold water supply, and that I didn't know if it can be used for heating systems. I didn't ask him what application within the heating system he is using it for, but maybe you can provide some general knowledge about this subject so I know in the future whether to offer our tubing for heating systems. By the way, he bought one 10 foot length of rigid tubing. Thank you very much.
