supply pipe removal

I'm trying to replace my rusted wall flanges. After removing the shut-off valve, I find that a nut remains on the 1/2 in. copper supply pipe, not allowing the removal of the old flange and installation of the new. How do I remove the supply pipe? I can't tell how it is attached to the in-wall supply
