![]() : : I am installing a Studor vent for a basement bathroom - does the vent still have to go all the way to the roof? My house is 2-stories - can I stop the vent on the first floor if I use this? : An air admittance valve need not go that high. I've read that it should be at least as high or a bit higher than the spill over height of what it's venting, but the one on my basement laundry tub is behind the tub and a bit below the spill line. It was also professionally installed. Inspectors in King County, WA allow the studor vents below the flood level of the fixture. Terry |
