|In response to Re: Pressure Tank Control|
: I have a 20 gallon pressure tank (1/2-hp submersible pump) for 6 water outlets. The water pressure appears to average about 25 or 30 psi, with a 20/40 control.
: Would a 30/50 switch make a noticeable pressure improvement at the faucet and shower? And are there any implications to changing the control?
yes it would. but you must also put 28 lbs of air in the tank if the pump goes on at 30 lbs. you would also be doing your pump a big favor by installing a 40 gal tank. a whole lot less work for the pump and a lot less electricty being used.
