You may want to consider some of the products like Bio-Clean which help to eat the sludge.

: I need to clean out some built up sludge/gunk/ whatever you want to call it, out of a lower level ejector pit. Is there a chemical out there that will do this or do I have to get the bucket and scoop out? If there is a chemical out there, when can I get it. I live in the chicago area.
