|In response to Re: Bathroom vapor barrier|
: I am replacing the walls for my bathtub and shower enclosure. Should a vapor barrier be placed between the insulation and the exterior wall as well as between the insulation and interior wall?
A vapor barrier should be between the interior of the home and the insulation to prevent moisture from getting to the insulation.
Some suggest that vapor barriers should be placed between wonderboard and the wood studs behind, even on interior walls.
: Can cement board be used as a backer for an acrylic enclosure?
As long as the glue will adhere to it, yes. Most of the time, greenboard is used behind acrylic panels.
