A customer within our water district has excessive noise in his pipes from time to time. He describes it as a rumbling sound that occurs at different times of the day. It isn't his water meter or his irrigation system nor is his house valve defective. But he does have a P.R.V. that may be contributing to his problem. Does the spring inside the P.R.V. become weak or damaged and could cause excessive chattering that reverberates through his pipes? The mainline pressure is 97psi. and his house pressure is 56 psi. and he does not live on a hill so air isn't a factor here. Please help!!!
