Refinishing is a great alternative to replacement IF it is done with the right process and materials. Not all refinishing is the same so you need to ask lots of questions. You almost always "get what you pay for" in terms of quality. Professionally done, a refinished tub should cost between $300-$400 and should last for 10-15 years. Look for a refinisher with years of experience or association with a national company, good references, and at least a 5 year guarantee. Check out our website for more info on refinishing.
