| In response to Re: Water Pressure Regulating Valve - HELP! | |
|
: Two weeks ago, the water pressure in our house increased significantly. None of my neighbors noticed any increase in pressure. I tried to adjust the pressure by tightening the set screw on the Honeywell Braukmann D07 Pressure Regulator Valve. We are connected to city water. : My questions: : 1) How do I stop the leaking from around the set screw? I have tightened the locking nut at tight as possible, but there is a steady drip. I have turned off the water to our house because the drip is too much. : 2) What would cause the sudden change in pressure increase from the regulator? Is it broken? : 3) Should I replace the Pressure Regulating Valve? : Thanks.
