: I have very poor water pressure in the second floor bathroom. The water pressure on the first floor is ok. The house is 75 years old and I believe the copper pipes are at least 40 years old. I think the problem is that the copper pipes have accumulated deposits that restrict water flow. Can the pipes be treated in-place with a chemical solvent or some other mechanism to clear the lines?
steven, see if you can find the tees that feed the hot and cold water to the second floor.there may be a valve for hot and cold. i would check this area out first to see if the blockage is there.replace the valves with full way ball valves.
