We need to do some improvements on our hall bath. One of the things we wish to do is to replace the existing tub/shower combo with a shower stall. After making a couple of calls we were informed that such a change would require breaking through the concrete slab in order to change the plumbing to accomodate a shower stall. Is there no way around this? Also, as my question probably reveals, my wife and I are beginners" in the home improvement arena and we are unsure of who/ where we should seek advice regarding our bathroom-remodeling needs--architect/designer, plumber, construction contractor? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
