: I know that there is a formula for the proper fall in a waste line, but is there a maximum and minimum ratio : or is it a hard and fast rule. Code states not less than 1/4" per foot. Pipe 4" or larger may be run not less than 1/8" per foot if first approved by the inspector. If you run 1/8" per foot your unit loading will have to be reduced. |
