Some people use a laundry tray to drain the washer into. The drain on the laundry tray lets the water out slower than a washer and has capacity for the water to set before it drains out.
Terry

: I have a washing machine that drains so fast that the water cannot go down the drain fast enough and it backs up into the house.
: I have talked with several plumbers, and they have suggested (the costly) way to fix it is to tear out the wall and replace the
: pipe with a larger one that will accomodate that amount of drain flow. Some of the plumbers have suggested trying to reduce the
: amount of drain flow by restricting it somehow but I am not sure the best way to try to do that. If you have any tips, please
: email me. Thanks.
