water pipe hammering

Hello Terry:

I have hammering on the hot water side only. So we must turn our water on and off on the cold water side
to avoid it. I bled my system as suggested on the BB but the hammering returned.

We have a Rheem electric water heater model 81GX66D.

I would appreciate any help...thanks
