Would you happen to know if the tables that plumbers use to size gas pipe are found anywhere on the net? Public Service was at my place and said that I am getting a pressure drop of 2" at my furnace and hot-water heater (from 6" at the meter) when my furnace (175,000 BTU/hr) and hot-water heater (60,000 BTU/hr) are both on because the feed pipe is not large enough. The feed line is 44' of 1-1/4" pipe and 50' of 1" pipe. Can you tell me if they are right and/or stear me to the pipe sizing tables? Thanks.
