Both of the toilet seats in my house are wooden, and they're no problem. Not talking those oak finished ones. These are proper Bemis white enamel seats. They may have a shorter life than plastic, but I can also afford to change them when the paint wears after a few years. They're more attractive than plastic and feel better to sit on during a cold morning than plastic. : After all the time we spent getting you out of the outhouse you want to go back to a porous material like wood for a water closet seat? Watch for slivers and other undesirables. I don't use the Sears catologue anymore either. .........Lou
