I read over the procedures Terry linked you to and have one additional comment. When I installed by whirlpool bath I was concerned with "permanently" installing the tub so I layed a piece of plastic over the mortar bed and then sat the tub in it. My theory is if I would ever to lift the thing out all I'll have to due is cut the caulking seal around the tub perimeter. I seems to be rock solid and hopefully I'll never have to see if my plastic idea works out.
