I too am having the same difficulty with this unit. Went to the hardware store and tried to convince a clerk that something was missing and didn't get very far. Purchased a "Diverter Repair kit" that had packings and washers in it, but I think the one that is referred to in the message above was missing. So, my question now, is; Which washer *EXACTLY* is the one missing inside the assembly? Can't tell from the picture that you posted, and can't tell from the PDF file on the Price Pfister site either. Help Please?
