: It sounds like you have an 09 series single handle tub/shower. The faucet uses our older Avante cartridge (s74-292). After about 4-5 years of use the cartridge can become stiff and may need replacing.

: However, if you used WD-40 or any type oil it will temporaily improve but soon become almost impossible to use.

: In the future, I recommend you only use silicon based plumbers grease on this (or any) faucet. Oil based lubricants can cause the rubber washers/o-rings to bloat and this will make the operation very difficult.
