Leaky tub faucet

I have an 18 year old home with the original plumbing fixtures. The bathtub uses a single-handle pull-out variety knob made by Bradley. Because it was leaking, I purchased a kit(Danco BR-1 for Bradely, Cole, & Kohler)with the necessary replacement parts. Over the years, I have had to do this many times, and it has always remedied the leak until the parts wore out and had to be replaced again. This time, however, I am continuing to get a drip from the spout every few seconds. I thought maybe I had a bad kit, so I replaced it. No change. Any ideas?
