First you have a boiler not a furnace. The difference in pressure will not hurt it. If you find you are running out of domestic hot water you should consider having a boiler mate installed. A boiler mate is nothing more than water heater/holding tank that uses boiler water to heat it. I don't know exactly what the pay back time on one is but consider your boiler must run pretty often to maintain temp. With the boiler mate "they" claim you only loose 2 degrees in 24 hr period if you don't use any hot water. ack to original problem you still might want to look into replacing the 1/2" with 3/4" at least on the main runs on the first floor. You could get a rough idea of the material cost prety easily. One other thing if I remember I'll check and see at what pressures mine is set at. I'll let you know on monday (1/4/99).
