You need to get a small fine hacksaw and make two cuts about 1/4" apart through the top flange and down the inside of the drain. You have to cut through the brass without cutting into the fiberglas or the drain fitting the plug is screwed into. After the cuts are made, you use a smll hammer and chisel to remove the 1/4" piece of metal and then bend the drain fitting inward to loosen the threads. The drain plug can then be unscrewed by hand.
: I need to replace my drain in my fiberglass tub/shower. I can not remove it. It is 10 years old. I have already broken off the spindle in the middle of it. Is there a special tool repquired to remove it?
