I recently purchased an older home (built ~1960) the place needs LOTS of work. The present bathtub can't be salvaged, and must be replaced. I have not taken posession yet, so am not sure of everything I am in for. What holds the bath tub in place?? What do I need to do to remove it?? Any framing involved?? It appears to be a cast iron, and is flush to the walls on 3 sides. There doesn't appear to be any special framing around the tub, it is just flush with the walls of the room.
