The wax is stuck in the pipe between the sink and the trap. The water in the trap congealed it instantly, so it could not go past the trap into the wall.
sink during a craft group. The disposal is fine and I removed a wax clog from the trap, but we are still getting water backing up into the sink. I used a powered cable auger to go into the pipe behind the wall to about 10-15 feet with no success. Any suggestions short of a pro or any info on a drain cleaner that would dissolve wax? Thanks.
