Sue:--My Sottish Grand Mother cured the problem that you mention by simply using "Setdoon". This was not a coating or a wax, it was an admonition.
Second best way would to have the brass parts gold plated at a local plating co. prior to installation. TEX


I'd like to know if there is anything with which I can coat new toilet seat brass hinges and hardware
: to prevent them from corroding/oxidizing. We've had to throw out our previous oak toilet seat because
: the screws were too badly corroded to remove from the wood.
