|In response to Re: HEATING ELEMENTS ON WATER HEATER|
First the power must be off. I test the elements with a continuity tester. There should be a reading with the test leads on the terminals of the element. I do this with the wires off. The elements will be marked for power and wattage.
Two years is a short time. I have'nt found a good water heater repair page. The one I was linked to is no longer on the WEB. If anyone knows of one, please let me know, Terry
: Hi, How do you change heating elements on electric water heaters. It looks like it should be fairly simple. What do I ask for when replacing> Also, they were replaced 2 yrs ago in a Rudd, shouldn't they have lasted longer. How do you test them> Thanks, Sally
