|In response to Re: DIY bathtub|
: : I would like to make my own tub to a custom shape, either by constructing it with tile, or forming it out of a moldable material and having it glazed. Which would be more cost effective, and what materials should I use? Beverly Pearce
: Tough question, I don't see any method being cost effective as compared to available acrylic tubs. Terry
There was a magazine article in UK 'Interiors' magazine featuring a handmade bath with mozaic and it looked as though it was constructed from a type of concrete and then surface finished. I don't see why this should be so difficult. Let me know if you have sourced this problem yet as I would like to construct a freeform tub as well.
