I'm not sure where that refinisher is getting their information about liners. What I've found is they work great and they make an exact mold of your tub that's installed in a day. I have friends who have reglazed and it peels in about a year or two and they had to re-do it over and over. There's a company called Rebath www.rebath.com that does a great job. Good Luck
