Unscrew that plug and get the type that pulls up and down. Screw that into the drain fitting.

: I have a fiberglass tub/shower combo. with a small jacuzzi system in it. The tub is approx. 4 years old. The tub's drain fixture is activated/deactivated by pressing it down (it has a rubber piece that seems to "suck" onto the actual drain hole). Recently, while trying to close the drain so I could test the jacuzzi system, I noticed that the drain will not close and hold water. I thought that maybe it was adjusted by screwing it in or out (the plug twists), but this didn't help. Any thoughts on how to fix the drain. Is there some kind of spring that needs replaced or other adjustment I could make?
