: : Gina,
: : The Moen Posi-Temp valve requires even pressure on both the hot and cold. If either one is slightly plugged, there will be little pressure. Sometimes the plug is in the cartridge itself. It doesn't sound like it in this case, since it "has" been replaced. You may be able to remove the cartridge (water off) and blow with compressed air through the valve fittings. Perhaps there is some loose crud in the pipes. How old is the home, galv pipes anywhere?

How do you check for equal hot and cold pressure?
When we shut the water off, we shut it off at the well pump. Should we be doing it a different way? When we blow air through there, should the shower head and the tub spout be off? What abut using a snake? Sorry to ask all these questions, but we had no luck with the 2 plumbers we called and we know nothing about this. So we need step by step details. Our house was built in 1952, ad yes,

there is some galvanized pipe. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Gina
