|In response to Re: leaking pipes|
A home built in 1959 with galv pipes will need repiping soon, if it hasn't been already. However, the leaks may be fixable. If you are not ready to spend big money on the home you just moved into, you may want to bring in some big guns, (plumbers). There may be a simple fix to the leaking shower faucet. There is a possiblity that the galv to brass connections are getting bad. Removing the shower head and plugging it off will determine that. Sometimes, caulking around the fittings where it meets the tile is needed.
