My old toilet leaked constantly so I had to repair the subfloor and decided to tile the floor while I was at it.
Here's the question, how should the toilet flange rest on the floor? It's going to set on the tile and it's a PVC with a metal ring for the closet bolts. Should the ring rest on the floor? What kind of screws should I secure the ring to the floor with?
Currently, the ring sets about 1/4 inch high.
