We are installing a new wide-set Delta faucet on a 60-yr old cast iron lavatory. All has gone well until we got to removing the old drain. It was so rusted we had to cut it out with a hacksaw. But now, when we install the new one the flange is a smaller diameter than the one we took out, so what we have is a quarter-inch iron ring around the nice new shiny chrome drain. We've tried contacting Delta, but they do not have any drain bodies with a wider flange. Can we buy one anywhere? Any other suggestions, cosmetic or otherwise? I would think a caulk coverup would not last past a couple of scrubbings. Thanks.
