If this is a new house then the installation should be inspected. In that case, no matter what we tell you, the only thing that counts is which way your building department wants it done. For that you have to contact them and get the picture that shows their approved design. At the very least, I hope the installer left an available vent line into the crawl space. : I have a new house where the kitchen sink will be installed in an island located in the center of the kitchen. : The copper hot and cold water lines have been run under the house and capped right below the island.
