You need to contact a leak locating company. The equipment needed, plus the experience in using it, is not a do it yourself project. When you reach the pipe write back and tell us what color it is unless you already know what it is made of.
: I have a leaking water main, probably 3.5-4 feet down. My problem is that I would like to fix the leak rather than pull in a new main. I know it will require some digging but my question is how do I find the right spot to dig. Is there some sonic tool that will pick up the leak by noise?
