lookout! I had the same problem when we moved into our new home. We had raw sewage shooting up out of the toilet and flooded the upstairs when
the washer drained downstairs. We had a multitude of problems: pump in basement was not working right, chunks of wood from construction were in pipes - nothing drills thru that, and the drain to the street was not at the right angle.
Cost us tons of money sanitizing carpets and walls, and plumber bills. My daughter who was 5 at the time will not use the toilet that did it to this day!(she is 9).
Call a really good plumber - hard to find! Start with a the clog and then check out the pump if you have that setup. Don't let it go!!!!! you will be sorry.
