The sudden change might have helped, but the real problem was the constant cold which will eventually penetrate insulation and freeze the pipe. What kind of pipe material was it. : Terry : On Christmas eve a pipe burst in my attic and flooded my sitting room. Now the temp for that night was -2.8 and for the previous night it was 4.6, would this sudden drop in temperature have caused the pipe to burst. I would be very grateful if you could reply this query.
