|In response to Re: bath tub PVC drain leak|
The pipes may be out of alignment enough that the rubber gasket in the union cannot seal properly. If you can, take the fitting apart, clean the gasket, and reinstall while checking that the drain line is aligned well to the tee. Last-ditch (and not recommended) solution: coat the exterior of the slip nut with silicone, wrap duct tape around it, and let cure for about 4 days.
: I just replaced my brass bath tub drain with a PVC drain. When the tub is full, the slip nut connecting to the T gets a slow drip. Are there any recommendations to take care of this? Thank you in advance. Joe
