Actually the problem (efflorescence) has nothing to do with the pipe at all. Mineral salts are being conveyed into your drain by residual water in the shower pan.
I'll bet a couple things happened when the pan was replaced. Nobody sloped the subfloor prior to installing the pan liner. No one made sure the sand used in the shower floor was clean.
I'm afraid there is no cure short of tearing out the floor and starting over.
