I'm no expert, but I'm in the process of redoing two bathrooms, and I've done a bit of research here. Moen and Kohler appear to be the most bulletproof and have the nicest finish in polished brass. You will pay for it, however - neither are cheap. I've heard good things about Grohe also. I got a shower/tub valve set by Price Pfister and was completely unimpressed by the quality. The Moen and Kohler items are available at Home Depot/Lowes, and there are a lot of good deals online (check ebay even, but make sure that the fixtures are new in the box). : I am replacing some 8" wideset faucets and a roman tub faucet set in my bathroom. I need a polished brass finish, and the most durable finish available. I am wondering which faucets are most durable external and internal, and which are easiest and cheapest to fix? : Thanks!
