Reverse Osmosis Installation

I would like to install a reverse osmosis system. My problem is that I would like to connect it to the refrigerator for the icemaker and water dispenser, but my kitchen sink is in an island. I don't see any way that I would be able to use it with an ro faucet in the sink and also the fridge. The house is built on a cement slab so I can't run a line from the island to the fridge. Behind the fridge is one of those capped-off pipe openings that are used for clearing the drains. The options I'm aware of are to install it under the sink with the faucet (and lose the ability to connect it to the fridge), or to install it under the counter next to the fridge and connect it only to the fridge and put the drain tube into the capped-off drain pipe (and lose the ability to use the faucet). Am I missing another option? Is it feasible to put the drain tube into the capped-off drain pipe in the wall behind the fridge? Thanks for any advice!
