We purchased our home, new, five years ago. When the sump pump use to come on, it sounded like the motor started up and then clunked off. For about a month now, whenever the pump comes on, the pipe shakes, and it sounds like someone is banging the pipe. Should I be worried? Is anything wrong? Despite recent heavy rains, our basement has been dry.
