Tricity Bendix Washer/Dryer

I have a 1 year old Tricity Bendix washing machine. I found it the other day with the cycle over but with water still left in the drum. When you try to set it to the "drain" setting , nothing happens other than an annoying clicking sound. It sounds like the pump is not pumping to me. I am wondering whether the pump needs to be replaced or could there be something like an airlock preventing the water from being pumped? If there is some simple procedure to try to remove airlocks, could someone give details? Thanks.
